Test your taste buds with Bobbing for Apples, a master creation by Madeleine MacDonald, that features an egg white and an apple with cognac, Grand Marnier and cider. 
 

2. Sub Rosa

Continuing on with the VIP evening, visit the other cocktail oasis that some Calgarians aren’t even aware of! Escape to the luxurious Sub Rosa, a speakeasy lounge that can be found below The Guild off Stephen Avenue. Find the entrance by following the neon glow of Sub Rosa’s logo, a triangle that sits above its doors. Indulge in the Wild Rose, a delectable cocktail featuring Beefeater 24 Gin, St-Germain elderflower, prosecco, rose syrup, cucumber and lemon. Alternatively, try the ‘After School Special’, featuring Chateau Montifaud Cognac, Cocchi Vermouth Amaro, Benedictine DOM and Dolin Dry Angostura. Yum.
 

3. Frenchie Wine Bar

This cosy little 15-seat bar is tucked away behind UNA Pizza on 17 Avenue SW – just look for the portrait of a French bulldog. Sneak in to sample the charcuterie or cheeseboard and sip fine wine to your heart’s delight. The wine list is all about unique producers who side with organic and biodynamic practices and believe in more natural way of making wine.
