They’ll be a cultural feast, with three great events in the fields of music, film, comedy and more taking place at venues across the city. Fiesta! Latin American Classics Festival
Get down Latin American style at Fiesta!, which will be taking place at Jack Singer Concert Hall on November 5 at 8pm. Sarah Chang will be bringing Astor Piazzolla’s Seasons of Buenos Aires to life, showcasing the unique flavour of Latin American tango music. The event includes a pre-concert chat at 7:05pm and post-concert thoughts.Femmewave
There’s plenty of female talent around Calgary - just head to Femmewave and you’ll see for yourself. This event, now in its second year, runs from November 17 - 20 and is divided into three categories: music, comedy, and film. The schedule is extensive, so pick your favourites and head on down - there’s something for everyone at Femmewave!
Calgary Carol Concert
Build your excitement for the forthcoming festive season at the Calgary Carol Concert, which will be hosted at 4 Street SW on November 28. Enjoy your favourite Christmas carols sung by local choirs - and you can also feel free to join in yourself if the spirit takes you! Entrance to the concert is by donation - It’s all in aid of the Calgary Food Bank, so bring along some money or a non-perishable item and do your bit for a good cause before enjoying the music.
