Three Fun Fests Coming to Calgary This August

This August, Calgary’s calendar of events is highlighted by a handful of awesome festivals—each with a very different focus. That means that for guests of our comfortable airport hotel, fun will not be a difficult thing to find!
 
Here are three festivals we recommend checking out this August:
 

GlobalFest | August 18-27

 
GlobalFest, which goes down just a short drive away from our hotel in Elliston Park, has a little bit of everything. There will be food booths representing countries from all over the world. There will be cultural displays representing an equally massive list of countries. There will be a fireworks show the likes of which you won’t see anywhere else. Head down to the park to see why this fest was named one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association. More information is available here!
 

Calgary Reggae Festival | August 18-20

 
The name of this festival says it all—it's an awesome celebration of Reggae music! With dozens of big-name artists scheduled to perform, hailing from Canada, Jamaica and the world over, this is an event that no reggae fan should miss. It all goes down at Shaw Millennium Park, just an easy drive from our cozy hotel. Find more information here!
 

Calgary RibFest | August 25-28

 
From August 25-28, head over to beautiful Eau Claire market in Downtown Calgary to sample the delicious handiwork of barbecue chefs from Alberta, BC, The Prairies, and even further afield.
