Can't Miss Concerts in Calgary this January

  • December 21, 2015

There’s a lot more to Calgary than stampedes and NHL hockey. As a stop on just about every major North American tour, our beautiful Albertan city is also a hub for live music. From rock, to pop, to country, to electronic, we’re always welcoming the biggest names in music to town.

Here are a few of January’s highlights!

Vance Joy | January 17

On January 17, superstar Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy touches down in Calgary for a can’t-miss concert. The artist behind favourite tunes like Riptide, Mess is Mine, and Best That I Can, he’ll be taking the stage at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, just a short drive west of our hotel. Tickets range from $25 to $30. Get yours while you still can, and enjoy the show!

Blue Rodeo | January 19

Two days after Vance Joy leaves town, he’ll be replaced by a very different, but no less talented musical act: Blue Rodeo. The Canadian country icons will also be taking the stage at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Tickets for their show start at as little $25—quite a deal for the chance to catch songs like Hasn’t Hit Me Yet, Bad Timing and 5 Days in May live! Don’t wait to get yours.

Johnny Lang | January 23

On January 23, American blues singer-songwriter Johnny Lang touches down in Cowtown. He’ll be taking the stage at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino, just a short drive away from our cozy hotel, with hit songs like Cherry Red and A Taste of Your Love. Catch him live for tickets that range from $83 to $104. They’re sure to fly off the shelves!

Calgary is always abuzz with excitement, from sporting events, to art exhibits, to comedy shows, and of course, big-ticket concerts! The coming January is a perfect example of that fact, as a number of internationally renowned musicians make their way through town. To enjoy these concerts, and others like them, simply book a room at our hotel today! You won’t regret it
