Calamity Town – Until Feb. 21

It’s 1940, the Depression has abated, and everything seems well, to the chagrin of mystery author Ellery Queen. Visiting Wrightsville in a search for novel material, he suddenly uncovers a jinxed house, poisonings, and even murder. This play is sure to ruffle the feathers of any mild-mannered show-goer, with its themes of deceit and destruction, all in the names of literature. Get your tickets here.

The Little Prince: the Musical – Until Feb. 28

Everyone’s read the masterpiece that is The Little Prince—ou Le Petit Prince en français—but have you seen it? Now you can, with this fantastic musical. Adapted by Nicholas Lloyd Webber and James D. Reid, this play is a celebration of imagination and the artist within us all, and explores a world that will make us all remember that we were kids once, and that being a kid sometimes isn’t so bad—so bring the whole family! An Evening of Dance on Film – Feb. 20

With the music of The Little Prince still ringing in your ears, it’s time to pair it with some dancing! Join the Calgary Underground Film Festival and the Dancers’ Studio West at Globe Cinema to witness some incredible films featuring some of the world’s finest dancers. With two feature films as well as local shorts and an artist talk by DSW, this will be fantastic both for the long-time film and dance lovers, as well as the young ones just starting their first ballet and hip-hop classes.
