The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo: April 28 to May 1

 
This expo has become the single largest event of its kind across Western Canada, bringing together all the best genres: Sci-fi,fantasy, anime, gaming, animation and horror. The Expo takes place at the BMO Centre, the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo features special guests N’Sync’s Joey Fatone, Peter Mayhew, Vikings star Clive Standen, author Stan Maggs and the hosts of InnerSpace, to name just a few. Calgary International Beer Festival: May 6 & 7

 

 
It’s Western Canada’s largest beer festival, and for good reason. With more than 500 different types of beer to sip and sample at your leisure, plus food from more than 40 of Calgary’s best pubs and restaurants, this event serves up a great atmosphere. The Calgary International Beer Festival happens at the BMO Centre in Halls A to E, Friday May 6 and Saturday May 7. Your admission ticket includes a smale mug and access to live entertainment on four stages, beer seminars, food samples from local eateries and a vote in the People’s Choice Favourite Beer Award and People’s Choice Favourite Restaurant Award.
