The holiday season has arrived in Calgary, and that means all kinds of Christmas markets are popping up. From the annual Calgary Christmas Market to Spruce Meadows’ International Christmas Market featuring nearly 200 vendors, check out this list of the best Christmas markets to visit in Calgary this year.

Calgary Christmas Market

The Calgary Farmers Market is transforming into the Calgary Christmas Market for six whole weeks this year. Kicking off November 18th and lasting until December 23rd, the Calgary Christmas Market is free to attend and suitable for all ages. This year’s market will feature a Food Hall, cozy fire, and tons of local vendors. Your favourite Calgary Farmers Market vendors will be in attendance, as well as 12 new seasonal vendors selling holiday gifts and decor. Finally, there will also be beaver tails and Christmas trees available for purchase.

Cranston Century Hall Christmas Market

The Cranston Residents Association is back with their annual Christmas Market at Century Hall. Each year, the goal of the Cranston Century Hall Christmas Market is to showcase the work of local artisans, and they’re doing just that. All items for sale were made or grown locally. This year’s market will also include a Kids Market. Admission is free of charge and the Century Hall Christmas Market is set to run on Saturday, November 20th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market

Travel around the world by visiting Spruce Meadows’ International Christmas Market. From November 26th until December 5th, this unique market provides locals and visitors with the opportunity to get in the holiday spirit. There will be tons of lights and decorations on display, not to mention nearly 200 vendors. This year’s market will take place both outdoors and indoors and will feature everything from tasty treats to a variety of handmade gifts.

If you’re going to be in Calgary this holiday season, then we recommend checking out any of the Christmas markets above. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, know that you’re always welcome at the Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary Airport.
